Individual therapy involves one-to-one sessions where you get the undivided time and attention of your therapist as she assists you in working towards your goals. Individual sessions provide a great opportunity to open up and talk without inhibition, explore and share your deepest feelings and thoughts in a safe and secure environment without fear of judgment or misunderstanding, experience connection and focus on successful change with attuned support, encouragement and guidance. Individual therapy may involve some sessions with significant others, as needed, to best support the client.
The type of therapy used varies depending on the case and would often be an eclectic mix of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, EFT Tapping, Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness and Inner Child work among others.
