Family therapy involves working with all or some people of a family unit to help develop closer and more positive relationships with each other; resolve conflicts effectively; define roles, boundaries, rights and responsibilities; facilitate positive communication and mutual respect; cope with grief or adjustment and build strong roots of security, acceptance, support and love.
Therapy would involve joint sessions with all members participating in therapy and include sessions individually and with varied combinations of family members as needed, to ensure all the clients receive adequate care and support.
